''Artistic, Unhurried, and Uninhibited''

Bohemian style is a subset of hippie fashion that combines organic materials, vintage prints, warm hues, and neutrals with 70s-inspired details and a penchant for dramatic accessories. More than just a fad in fashion, boho style. It has a complex history and a distinct ideology, making it a legitimate culture in and of itself. Despite being intimately linked to the hippie trends of the 1960s and 1970s, bohemian style is now a staple of popular culture. However, the truth is that the 19th century counterculture was where bohemian fashion really got its start. With its loose-fitting clothing, informal accessories, and overall artistic, creative hodgepodge of materials, boho fashion has become a real sensation thanks to the huge range of boho apparel and accessories available today.

The styles that are referred to as "bohemian" are a representation of the lifestyle concept that goes along with them: an alternative to traditional clothing, along with an equally different, more liberated lifestyle and a social position against everything from materialism to societal norms.

Bohemian fashion has a lengthy history; its aesthetic was popular in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The fashion, sometimes known as "boho chic" or "boho," is characterized by a wide range of organic fabrics, earthy tones, and hippie-inspired designs. The bohemians, a counterculture that emerged in France during the French Revolution, are closely associated with the beginning of bohemian fashion. Due to the lack of access to the previous patronage system, many artists of the time fell into a state of extreme poverty.

The BOHO style is characterised by its use of natural and organic raw materials including cotton and wool as well as natural colouring agents. Despite the fact that numerous manufacturers produce boho-chic clothing using a variety of materials, boho should always adhere to nature. Boho chic is a lifestyle and culture; it is not just a trend.

Warm, colourful palettes with flora designs, fringe tassles, and a variety of accessories and jewellery, frequently made of stones, crystals, and metals, are among the most inspiring aspects of boho chic. Eventually, all these features inculcate femininity.

Generating new ideas!

It's crucial to gather fresh inspiration by perusing the various firms that draw from boho to produce fresh bohemian patterns.

Dior is my favorite designer brand.

I think this company has a good grasp of the bohemian subculture and does a good job of imitating it with lovely structures, but reviews indicate that the Dior is not sufficiently echo friendly. Since the boho chic aesthetic is founded on a love of nature, I think products in this style should be more earthy. As I compare different brands, I'd like to point out: H & M. Despite being labelled as quick fashion, this company adheres to the standards of this subculture. According to sustainability records, this firm is both more affordable and more sustainable than other companies that make boho-chic apparel, such as Zara, Shine, and Cider.

Creating a mood board

I'm going to design my own patterns utilising the information and visual ideas I've gathered.

I need to first chose all my favourite and related images from my visual research that have inspired me. Then, I move these images about to find the greatest composition. Finally, I'm going to make my mood board as a collage on A3 paper.

ree

This section will describe this mood board, what each image individually represents, and the significance of each symbol. It will also discuss how I elicit motifs from this board and the development of the process.

1. Historical bohemian women with original bohemian garments and jewellery

ree

2. Conterprory bohemian lady

ree

3. Mandala pattern and flower mandala

Its symbol of Empathy, love, charm, passion, growth, and hope are some of the traditional connotations associated with the mandala flower.

ree

4. Dream catcher

Some people consider dream catchers to be good energy totems. They contribute to boosting the positive energy in the space and balancing out any negative energy. In a dream catcher, the beads adjacent to the feathers are thought to represent the good dreams that were caught in the web and preserved as sacred charms.

ree

5. SUN & MOON

The moon represents peacefulness, beauty, and nurturing (feminine energy), while the sun stands for firmness, strength, and power (masculine energy).

ree

6. Cristals and Stones

As a gift from the planet and a natural means to channel positive energy, crystals and jewels can also be used for healing. They represent life as a metaphor.

ree

Study sheet

Crystals and stones were one of the most potent elements in this project that I was inspired by, so I wanted to deepen my studies on the feminine energy of crystals.

Practicing & Generating motifes / patterns

I'm going to create some abstract motifs in this part that are inspired by one or more of the images on my mood board .

ree

PRACTICE 1:

FLOWERS AND JEWLLERY

ree

The final motif from this practice has been sent to the A4 then A3 printer,

I named this pattern ‘’FLOURISH’’

ree

PARCTICE 2.

DREAM CATCHER , SUN AND MOON & MANDALA

ree

After collaring the motif’sbackground I printed them on A4 and A3 paper ,

A3 printed pattern , I like to name this patten ''ENZO IN ZEN''

ree

PRACTICE 3:

CRYSTALS AND LADIES

ree

Warm colors of boho ladies' clothing, as well as the designs and hues of crystals and

jewelry, served as my inspiration. This combo exudes a feminine spirit, which is why I adore it.A3 fabric sheet and A4 paper were printed with this motif.

A3 printed design. This pattern is what I call ‘’Crystal Garden’’.

ree

PRACTICE 4:

Flowers, Moon stone Grid & Crystals

ree

ree

I prefer to refer to it as ‘’Skull Moon’’ because the final printed pattern on A3 paper is shaped like a skull.

PRACTICE 5:

Only crystals

In this practice , I gathered crystals with feminine energy and they were in nice harmony with one another. Then I began to watercolor paint an abstract artwork with these crystals on A4 paper.

ree

crystal board

ree

I dubbed this pattern "rock & roll" It appears as though rocks have tumbled across the page.(printed on A3 paper)

Practice 6:

Crystals & Abstract Painting

this time, I just substituted an abstract crystal shape for the realistic crystal image (according to crystal board image)

ree

I'm going to call the final design "Moon Rock" because it resembles the moon's surface.

therefore, I printed this pattern on an A3 fabric sheet and embellished it with crystal rhinestones.

ree

My final pattern design eventually evolved into one of my three final outfit designs.

Practice 7:

lining up ‘’Moon Rock’’ pattern

ree

I tried lining up the "rock you" pattern. The outcome was intriguing, so I decided to turn it into a pattern then use it as my second final pattern design after adding color

ree

I gave it the name "Rocky Mont" since its design reminded me of a mountain.

ree

I picked the drawing technique using Areza Fabric color on top of the final fabric after printing it on A3 fabric sheets.

ree

Rocky Mount board

Then I applied the "Rocky Mount" pattern to my second final garment

design.

Practise 8 :

lining up the ‘’mood board ‘’

In my last practice I liked to line up the mood board

ree

ree

After applying the colour, I was quite thrilled with the results.

This design is what I like to call "Rock you."

I finally decided to use it as my third and last design. I then had the output printed on an A3 cloth sheet.

ree

For the final pattern, I wanted to experiment with the foil print process.

ree

Rock you board

he "rock you pattern" then appeared in my third final garment design, followed by the ''technical drawing'' page.

ree

Final board

I believe the "Rock you '' pattern is quite compatible with the bohemian subculture, as is the final outfit design.
